Conrado Morlan recipient of 2011 PMI® Distinguished Contribution Award

Grapevine, TX, October 22nd, 2010 — The Project Management Institute, the world’s leading project management member association, announces that it has honored Jose Conrado Morlan Medina, PMP, PgMP, with a 2011 Project Management Institute (PMI®) Distinguished Contribution Award for his activities and influence in championing Project Management to Spanish-speaking practitioners and organizations. The award was presented during PMI’s annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 22 October 2011 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center.

The PMI Distinguished Contribution Award recognizes significant achievement for sustained performance by an individual who contributes to the advancement of the project management profession.

Mr. Morlan’s extensive volunteer activities include giving presentations, mentoring those looking to achieve their Program Management Professional designation, authoring articles, and providing his expertise on the content committee of the A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) PMBOK® Guide―Fifth Edition.

“Being the first Mexican national recipient of the award is an honor and at the same a responsibility,” said Morlan. I will continue championing Project Management around the world and engaging practitioners in volunteer activities that will contribute to the evolution of our profession.
